#CordAThon a success!
If you checked your Twitter last Wednesday, June 18th, you probably saw someone chatting about #CordAThon. That was our Campaign For All Canadians Twitter event raising awareness about the national public cord blood bank and inviting Canadians to help build it by making a financial contribution online.
By 10AM, #CordAThon was a trending topic in Canada!
Our reports totalled 9.3 million impressions were made, 1400 shares and we raised a total of $4,700!
With our live “on the scene” medical experts, donors, recipients and ambassadors, we were able to answer questions and share personal stories. Among those answering questions was Dr. David Allan who explained via video how cord blood stem cells work, you can watch that here.
Check out some friends of ours who participated in the conversation as well by clicking here.
The day really showed us what we can accomplish with a strong team effort!
Canadians certainly understand the importance and urgency for a national public cord blood bank, and we are very thankful for everyone’s endless support!
If you didn’t get the chance to donate, you still can here.
If you missed the conversation on Twitter, don’t worry! Look out for our next #CordAthon this September 2014! See you all on Twitter!
